Cannon Beach- Summer of 58.

We appear to be waiting for a wave to tumble in. Our cuffs are rolled up. Beth looks a little anxious about the incoming wave. Susan can’t wait. Davey is anticipating the cold briny water- hunching his shoulders. Nick is looking dapper and interested in what’s going on down the beach.

I am adding this photo of Nick as a baby, I believe wearing the standard white baby outfit that so many children have been photographed in. Note that the picture label says “Jamie” which is what Mom and Dad started out thinking Nick would be called. Apparently not. The baby photo seems appropriate to go with the news clipping.
